Why did my scan return the wrong product?

Barcode databases aren't perfect. If a product is new or regional, it may not be in our database yet. Try the photo scan mode instead — point at the ingredient label and Libby will read it directly.

How do I reset my daily scans?

Free scans reset automatically at midnight UTC every day. You don't need to do anything. If you need more than 3 scans per day, upgrade to Pro.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the iPhone Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → find Libby → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We cannot cancel on your behalf — this must be done through Apple.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases go through Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Select the Libby purchase and follow the steps. Refunds are at Apple's discretion.

Where do ingredient scores come from?

Scores are based on published scientific studies pulled from PubMed, Semantic Scholar, and OpenAlex. Each ingredient is assessed for evidence quality, study direction (harmful vs. beneficial), and research volume. Scores are not medical advice.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings → Profile → Delete Profile inside the app. This removes your health profile and personalization data from our servers. Scan logs (which contain no personal information) are automatically purged after 90 days.

Grocery Haul isn't detecting all my products — why?

Grocery Haul uses on-device AI vision to detect products. Coverage depends on lighting, angle, and how many items are visible. For best results: good lighting, hold the phone steady, and make sure labels face the camera. We're continuously improving detection.

Is Libby available on Android?

Not yet. iOS only for now. Android is on the roadmap.
